Hi, my name is Brenna. I am a Seattle native who adores dancing! After years of teaching in other people’s spaces, I’m finally making a place of my own.

I’m calling this THE LABORATORY because that’s what dance has always been for me — a place to fall, a place to learn, a place to fly.

The LAB is a place where I can invite dancers in as they are in that moment. A place where they can feel inspired to do more, learn more, be more. A place where they leave feeling more like themselves than when they walked in.

I know what it feels like when the weight of other people’s judgments makes it hard to dance the way you know you can. So I wanted to make a place where I can be me and you can be you and together we can become more.

Teaching hip hop as the sole genre felt like a great starting place for me to get THE LABORATORY going. My goal is to grow this into a fully dynamic art space for everyone who wants to participate, but for now I’m going to hit play and dance like I know how to!

THE LABORATORY is for the kids who need confidence, for the teens who need guidance, for the adults who need an outlet, and for anyone who just needs a place to belong.
